The Eternal Woman’s Library
As a bookstore and library, we always find ourselves fulfilling an important need and that is ensuring access to knowledge. We have always endeavoured to have a range of titles about the issues that we face as a society, be it the environment, gender issues, economic inequality and just plain old and ugly biases. We strongly believe that it is a well-informed person who can contribute to making this world a better place.
There has been an incredible increase (and about time too!) in the number of titles by and about women and gender issues, we are taking this opportunity on International Women’s Day to invite you to come browse through our permanent and ever growing curated collection – The Eternal Woman’s Library.
As new platforms open up for women to be honest about their experiences, we’re seeing more women and men join the call for gender equality, the end to sexual violence and basic empathy and support for the needs and dreams of women. We need to come together, the world needs us to set all our differences aside and work together to repair and make this a healthy world.
Trilogy has always supported the powerful work brought out by India’s best independent publishing houses, including Yoda Press, Navayana, Mapin, Tulika, and Zubaan, India’s first feminist publisher. Be it in the realm of fiction or non-fiction, or in the medium of graphic novels, or photography, the voices of women are now finding a growing audience of readers. Over the years, Trilogy has been adding to and presenting a range of Indian and international books about gender equality, women’s issues, biographies and fiction by and about women. We are also proud to curate a great collection of books about economics, space, the situation in Palestine, unputdownable biographies of kings and queens, animal behaviour, etc whose authors happen to be women.
The Eternal Woman’s Library will have titles for readers of all ages, and a growing range of titles about gender equality for all readers (for boys and girls, educators and parents too), also, it will be our endeavour to constantly add to this collection.
We have always supported independent feminist literature and will continue to do so beyond this particular day, we hope you will come by and support your independent bookstore and library.
