@whiteprintmag you lead the way with publishing th @whiteprintmag you lead the way with publishing the warmest stories about inclusion and hope.

As Saba and Kabir run into Trilogy, filled with optimism and courage, here are my thoughts on Why White Print Matters.

Read the entire post on our website, link in the bio:

Inclusion. It’s such an official sounding word, isn’t it? Derived from the verb ‘include’, (early 15c.), one of the meanings of inclusion is “to have (something/someone) as a constituent part”. I love the idea of that. Of us being constituent parts of this world, with each one of us playing a role, to the best of our abilities, supported by and complemented by each other. No human is an island, it takes a village, and all that....

With its new and recent picture books, White Print has been spreading awareness of the importance and power of Inclusion, especially among kids. Kids are remarkably empathetic as we all know, and ensuring they read about kids with diverse abilities dealing with regular life helps them see a wider, more accepting world. Look Out, Look Within, Flowers for Sunaina and Run Saba, Run are leading conversations with kids, parents, teachers (and aunts and uncles like Meethil and I), about recognising, accepting, respecting every one’s diverse abilities and doing our little bit to share our world with every one.

I’ve lost count of how many people have been shocked to hear that visually impaired people want to read physical books, but publishers are least interested in making this available. It’s too difficult apparently to make this happen.
I wish they could learn a thing or two about making difficult things happen from Upasana. She is...

Happy New Year! Happy New Year!
Six years!!!!!! Our dream come true, our sliver Six years!!!!!!

Our dream come true, our sliver of heaven, our magical library and bookshop (that has somehow lured only the loveliest people and kids here so we could get to know them...) our Trilogy is all of six!

I have to tell you what I know for certain, bookshops and libraries have old wise souls of their own.

Every morning when we walk in, and each evening as we turn off the lights, there's a sense of excitement in the air, of adventure, the quirkiest people and weirdest places you would just love to know.

How do books do that?

One minute you are thinking about Shakespeare, the very next second you are led away by an octopus or hawk, and then it's down the dark alley of espionage or lost love, only to find wolves in wall street and farmers waiting with sickles in a rain soaked field for soldiers who think they will win this battle.

One day soon we shall all meet again, here, and have endless conversations among the bookshelves.

Till then, patience, and keep believing in the power of books.

This has been a strange year, and we thank you dea This has been a strange year, and we thank you dear reader for continuing to love books the way you do. For believing in the power of books, for believing in the joy of giving, for trusting us with your notes of gratitude and love and for sending book hugs to friends and family far away.
For picking up books for the kids in your life, or waiting for a particular edition your loved one would like, your generosity and patience has been the bright spot of this year.
If I've learned one thing this year, despite the distances, and the fears, and the solitude, it's this, keep the love going.
We're here to help you find the perfect book to gift and meticulously wrapped by our very own giftwrap perfectionist. #booklove #tistheseason #gifting #giftwrappedbooks #bookhugs #teltrilogy #bandra #mumbai
